Sticking to a fitness routine takes a lot of hard work and dedication which most people struggle with so sometimes people may turn to a fitness professional to help get those results. Some people struggle with finding the right workout and diet appropriate for their needs so they may go to a fitness expert for help. Although some fitness experts and fitness enthusiasts have your best interest at heart not all of them do. When a fitness professional does not have your best interest at heart you are more likely to get injured so although not all professionals are like this it is important to recognize an expert who really cares and one who just wants to get paid!
The nutrition coach who forgets your a real person-
Let’s be honest. Most nutrition coaches believe that teaching you all about proteins, vegetables, and nutrient timing is enough to get you on the right track. In reality, the lack of knowledge is not the main reason for weight gain. Most people fail to stick to a healthy diet because they’re stuck in the wrong mindset. Some nutrition coaches have unrealistic expectations for their clients such as very strict diets so although their job may be to help their clients achieve their nutrition needs setting very strict dietary limitations will not satisfy these needs! Your individual needs and struggles should be your nutritionist’s or nutrition coaches top priority and if it is then you can benefit from that meal plan but if not then it’s not worth your time.
The gym owner who doesn’t check the equipment
When most people start their fitness journey the first thing they do is sign up for a gym membership. If they have never worked out before they may hire a personal trainer who works at the gym to lessen the likelihood of them getting injured After opening a gym and getting all the necessary equipment some gym owners believe that the duties to their customers are done. Thousands of people use gyms every day to help them get fit so that is why it is so important for gym owners to make sure that all of their equipment is properly maintained so no one gets injured. While most people aren’t expecting to get injured at the gym sometimes it happens and injury lawyers may be able to help you get the compensation you deserve! Ideally, you do want to try to avoid getting injured all together so if something doesn’t feel right then don’t do it!
The personal trainer who pushes you too hard
Most trainers either push their clients too or don’t push them hard enough. Trainers who take the no pain no gain approach for people who are new to exercise are playing a dangerous game because not only are they risking injury for their clients but also you are not motivating your clients to want to continue to their exercise routines out of the gym. Exercise can be fun and trainers should be teaching their clients that and when you take the no pain no gain approach you take the fun out of exercise! Not all trainers take this approach but some may take it a little too easy and could be pushing you a little bit harder! A personal trainer can make a huge difference in your overall physical health by helping you achieve your goals and keeping you focused but only if are being pushed hard enough otherwise it will be very difficult to stay focused because you will not be seeing those results. Some trainers fear people who are new to exercise will be uncomfortable so they will give them an easy routine. Working out is hard and although it may be tempting to work out in your comfort zone you will not create change that way. In order to create change, you have to step out of your comfort zone at least a little bit.
The three-hour fitness class that stops for no one
Have you ever gone to a fitness class and been so confused you wondered why you even went? If your fitness instructor does not stop to help students correct their postures you can be pretty sure they are probably just in it for the pay. Most people don’t go to fitness classes and when they do it is a big step so when they have fitness instructor that doesn’t even bother to correct student’s postures it doesn’t make them want to return. Instructors that make an effort to not only teach but correct students postures have the biggest impact on their students because nine times out of ten these students will return.
Nowadays you don’t even have to go to a gym to get fit or even hire a personal trainer. There are so many fitness enthusiasts you can follow that will give you workouts and nutrition information for free but here is the problem fitness enthusiasts aren’t experts! Although fitness enthusiasts may be helpful in keeping you motivated they don’t have the experience and expertise an expert does. Fitness experts have knowledge of how to prevent injuries and how to achieve your fitness goals that a fitness enthusiast does not have. If you are really struggling with achieving your fitness goals consult an expert and not a fitness enthusiast because although they may be able to help you with some things an expert will be able to help you with more.
